We had slowly started potty training Melissa since she will be 2 years old next month. She showed a lot of interest to go to the potty, but she hasn't actually peed or pooped in the potty. Yesterday, she did it for the first time! She even said "the water splashed to my butt" in Mandarin. Good job, Melissa! Keep it up!
Check out this video. She is able to sit on top of the potty for a while to finish her job although sometimes she likes to climb up and down just for fun...

Dad and Mommy do a good job! It becomes an interesting thing to have pee and poop in the toilet.
The method that you used is much better than I did.
